Privacy Policy

DYG Score does not create accounts, track users, or sell data. The extension transmits article text to our analysis API solely to generate a veracity score. No data is linked to your identity.

What data is transmitted

What data is NOT collected

Session cache

Analysis results are stored in Firefox's storage.session, which is local to your browser and is automatically cleared when Firefox closes. This cache means you see instant results if you revisit the same article in the same session, without making a repeat API call.

How article data is used

Article text sent to our API is used exclusively to generate a veracity score using AI language models. The article text is passed to the AI model for analysis and is not stored in any database linked to you, your device, or any identifier. Aggregate, anonymized cache entries (score results keyed only by URL hash) may be retained on our servers to speed up analysis of the same article for other users.

Children's privacy

DYG Score is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
